Fatal Traffic Crash on 170th Street East and Rawhide Avenue In Lake LA.

Palmdale, Ca.- On January 25, 2025, at approximately 7:10 PM, the Los Angeles Communications Center broadcast a call for a traffic crash on 170th Street East at Rawhide Avenue.
Preliminary investigation suggests Party #1, a 34-year-old male from Lancaster, was driving a 2006 Honda Civic and was traveling eastbound on Rawhide Avenue. Party #2, was driving a 2023 Subaru WRX, and was traveling southbound on 170th Street East.
For reasons that remain under investigation, Party #1's vehicle collided with Party #2's vehicle. As o result of the collision, Party #1, and his 21-year-old passenger, sustained fatal injuries. Party #2 fled the scene on foot after the crash.
The northbound lanes of 170th Street East were closed from Avenue P to Avenue P-8 at approximately 7:55 PM and reopened at approximately 1:20 AM.
