Excessive heat with temperatures in the mid 90s to 107

High pressure aloft, building over the desert Southwest, will produce a very warm weekend for Southern California.

At this time, Saturday looks to be the warmest day with temperatures in the mid 90s to 107 across the valleys, mountains and deserts, producing moderate Heat Risk. A persistent marine influence will keep coastal temperatures cooler through the weekend. Although it will be very warm, no record breaking temperatures are anticipated.

With the heat this weekend, take the necessary precautions. Stay well hydrated and limit strenuous activity during the warmest times of the day.
