Eight cited at DUI checkpoint in Palmdale

On Friday, April 23, 2021, Palmdale Sheriff's Station conducted a DUI Checkpoint, which resulted in the arrest of one person for DUI.


The checkpoint was held at 10th Street West and Technology Drive, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Eight drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license, 567 vehicles were contacted and three vehicles were towed.


Checkpoint locations are based on a history of crashes and DUI arrests. The primary purpose of checkpoints is not to make arrests, but to promote public safety by deterring drivers from driving impaired.


The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is committed to keeping the public safe when they are traveling.


Then Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will continue to hold DUI/Driver’s License checkpoints throughout the year.
