Palmdale, CA.- During the Holiday Enforcement Period, the California Highway Patrol issued citations to over 34k individuals and arrested 1,311 drivers for alleged DUI offenses.

From 6:01 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, to 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, the California Highway Patrol conducted a statewide Holiday Enforcement Period (HEP) aimed at stopping dangerous driving behaviors and keeping California roads safe.
And the results are in:
→ 46,582 enforcement actions
→ 34,548 total citations issued
→ 21,328 speeding citations
→ 1,311 DUI arrests
CHP officers were out in full force across the state, targeting impaired, distracted, and aggressive driving. Every citation and arrest represents a dangerous behavior that could have resulted in tragedy.
