DryTown lifeguards earns World Class rating.

Palmdale, Ca.- DryTown lifeguards earning the World Class rating.

Conducted by the National Aquatic Safety Company (NASCO), this marks 10 years that DryTown lifeguards have received this rating.

NASCO conducts the audits at many waterparks across the county. DryTown consistently ranks among the nation’s top performing water parks. The community is grateful for your continued hard work and vigilance to create a safe and fun environment for everyone.

The City’s lifeguards also participated in the World’s Largest Swim Lesson in June by providing a swim lesson class to residents. The event helps promote water safety and provides participants the chance to experience the benefits of group swim lessons and swim instruction.

With the temperatures rising in the Antelope Valley, we would like to remind you of some important water safety tips to keep you and your children safe this summer.

Swim in areas where lifeguards can be easily accessed.

Provide close and consistent adult supervision to children while they are in or near the water.

Fence in pool and spa areas with adequate barriers.

Inexperienced children and adults should wear a properly fitted Coast Guard approved lifejacket.

Enroll your child in learn to swim classes to learn vital survival skills.

We want to ensure that everyone has a fun and safe summer.
