Lancaster,, CA.- In Lancaster, voters will cast their ballots on April 14th 2026 to elect two City of Lancaster Council members for a four-year term.


This is an all-mail-in ballot election. Dr. Nicolle Rendón Blackwood has announced that she will be running for the Lancaster City Council.


Lancaster community leader, entrepreneur, and youth advocate Dr. Nicolle Rendón Blackwood is running for Lancaster City Council with a vision centered on collaboration, economic opportunity, and strengthening the future for families and young people across the city.


A longtime resident of Lancaster, Dr. Rendón Blackwood has dedicated her career to community-building, youth mentorship, and economic development initiatives that uplift families and create pathways for opportunity. She is the founder of Generations Coffee, a youth-centered workforce training and mentorship initiative that provides job training, leadership development, and service-learning opportunities for young people in the Antelope Valley.


Dr. Rendón Blackwood is also known for her work connecting Lancaster to regional and national partnerships that bring resources, mentorship programs, and workforce development opportunities into the community. Her leadership has focused on building bridges between nonprofits, businesses, schools, and civic organizations to create stronger outcomes for local families.
