Lake Los Angeles – Stephen Sorensen Community Regional Park - SPRING SPORTS for our Antelope Valley Los Angeles County Parks is extremely fortunate to have the Dodgers Dream Team sponsor baseball and softball games all for the FLAT FEE of $25.00.
The sponsorship includes the whole ball of wax. The program includes equipment, uniforms, Dodger Days, nutrition and fitness education, coaches training, and more. It serves 15,000 youth annually and aims to serve 25,000 youth by 2030. The program is supported by 18 affiliate partners and works with LA County Parks to offer baseball and softball leagues for Dodgers Dream Team participants.

The Dodgers Dream Team program, an affiliate of Nike RBI, is a comprehensive sports-based youth development program that aims to provide critical resources and services to communities experiencing social injustices. It focuses on baseball and softball, promoting social and emotional skills, positive mental health, and building relationships with peers and positive role models.
Acton Park, Jackie Robinson Park, Stephen Sorensen Park and Pearblossom Park are in the program. All four parks will have baseball and softball leagues. Jackie Robinson and Stephen Sorensen will also have two volleyball clinics.
A flat fee of $25.00 gets everyone playing. The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding for scholarships reduced youth sports fees from $140-$190 to a flat fee of $25.00. The result was a boost in youth sports by 29% from 13,273 to 15,829 youth participants across all parks in 2023. This was a blessing at our LLA park where our youth participated in far greater numbers.
The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) was signed into law on March 11, 2021. This legislation is a significant economic stimulus package aimed at aiding the recovery from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
