Lake Los Angeles - As the world surfaces from under the weight of the Pandemic shut down, in the County various roundup, recycling and collection events are returning.

What has been rescheduled to date are the mattress recycling, tire recycling and the fall Disposal Day, all for Antelope Valley residents only.

What fliers are available is the mattress recycle for July and August. Other fliers with more pertinent information are being developed.

Mark the dates on your calendars and watch for fliers to be posted on Facebook. When you see the fliers, please share on your page and with your friends and neighbors.

During the fiscal year 2021-2022, the Antelope Valley Illegal Dumping Task Force will continue to offer Landfill Vouchers to residents of the unincorporated communities of the Antelope Valley.

The new vouchers for the fiscal year 2021-2022 will be printed with the 1-ton load limit, an increase from the 1/2 ton limit in previous years. All other terms and conditions remain the same.

The average load has been 1/2 of a ton load so the costs are not expected to uptick sharply and the program can better serve those who have need for larger/heavier loads and require the 1-ton allowed.

Residents in the unincorporated areas of the Antelope Valley can continue to call Supervisor Barger’s office at 661-726-3600 and reserve vouchers. The County offices are still closed to the public so a phone call is the best route to take. Someone from the office staff will meet you at the door with your voucher(s).
