Columbia Way and 10th Street West Intersection Closure Scheduled for May 17, 2026.

The City of Palmdale advises residents and motorists that extensive street construction, asphalt overlay work and striping will take place at the intersection of Columbia Way, also known as Avenue M, and 10th Street West on Sunday, May 17, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The work will require a full closure of the intersection in all directions. There will be no access to or through the intersection during construction. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and follow posted detour signs, traffic signs and message boards to navigate the area.

This work is part of ongoing infrastructure improvements in the area and is necessary to upgrade critical facilities. The intersection is expected to reopen to traffic on Monday, May 18.

Drivers should plan ahead and expect delays. The City apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates the community’s patience as these improvements are completed.
