Palmdale, CA – Palmdale Water District (PWD) customers are invited to join Board President Don Wilson for a FREE cup of coffee from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Starbucks, 1763 E. Palmdale Blvd., Palmdale.

President Wilson will meet with constituents and answer water- related questions at the Coffee with a PWD Director event, which gives customers the opportunity to get to know their representatives in a casual environment. Attendees will get their first Starbucks drink for free and receive a PWD coffee mug.

“I appreciate these opportunities to meet with the Palmdale community and share water information with them,” said President Wilson. “With record rain and snow this winter, it will be a different conversation than last year when all we talked about was the drought. I hope to see many of our customers.”

President Wilson, who represents Division 2, won re-election this past November. He took over duties of the Board president in January. He also is on the board of the Palmdale Recycled Water Authority, the Plant 42 Environmental Restoration Advisory Board and the Antelope Valley State Water Contractors Association as a commissioner. In addition, he is the chairperson of PWD’s Finance Committee.

A Palmdale resident since 1987, President Wilson retired after 28 years with Foster Farms. He served on the Palmdale School District Personnel Committee Board for two years and was elected to the PWD Board in November 2018. His current term expires in 2026.

Division 2 is an area whose northern most point is a small section that borders Palmdale Boulevard. The Division lies roughly south and west of central Palmdale. More specifically, it is south of Palmdale Boulevard and Avenue R west of 25th Street East and south of Pearblossom Highway east of 25th Street East. It also includes portions of the community of Juniper Hills.

Since 1918, the Palmdale Water District has provided high-quality water at a reasonable cost. We pride ourselves on providing great customer care; advocating for local water issues that help our residents; educating the community on water-use efficiency; and leading our region in researching and implementing emerging technologies that increase operational efficiency.
