City of Palmdale to Host Disaster Preparedness Expo

PALMDALE, CA — The City of Palmdale will host a free Disaster Preparedness Expo to help residents and businesses learn how to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies and disasters. 


Attendees can meet with local agencies and emergency management partners, explore preparedness resources, participate in hands-on demonstrations and receive disaster preparedness giveaways. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will be among the participating partners.


The Expo is a walk-through event, and attendees may arrive at any time between 6 and 8 p.m. Demonstrations will repeat throughout the evening, and participating organizations will be available at information tables for the duration of the event.


Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, 6 to 8 p.m.


WHERE: Legacy Commons for Active Seniors

                930 E. Avenue Q-9

WHO:  The event is open to Palmdale residents and businesses, members of the greater Antelope Valley community and visitors from throughout Southern California.

DETAILS: Organizations interested in participating as vendors must register by Tuesday, Sept. 1, by visiting www.CityOfPalmdaleCA.gov/FormCenter/Public-Safety-10/2026-Disaster-Preparedness-Expo-Communit-293. Registration does not guarantee participation. All applicants will be notified by email and phone regarding whether their space has been reserved.
