City of Palmdale to Begin Arterial Road Rehabilitation Project on Palmdale Boulevard

PALMDALE, CA — The City of Palmdale will begin construction on the Arterial Road Rehabilitation Project at Palmdale Boulevard, PN 869-A, on Monday, July 13. The project will improve a major east-west corridor through full-depth roadway reconstruction and will require road closures and detours during construction.

What:              Arterial Road Rehabilitation Project at Palmdale Boulevard, PN 869-A. The $3.9 million project is funded through SB 1 and Gas Tax Funds.

Project Scope: The project includes full-depth reconstruction of Palmdale Boulevard from 50th Street East to 70th Street East. Work will be completed in two phases.

Traffic Impacts: Road closures and detours will be in place throughout the project area. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and use alternate routes when possible.

When:             Construction begins Monday, July 13, 2026 

Project timeline: July through October 2026
