Road Construction Updates for January 16-22, 2023

1. FULL CLOSURES – Q-11 from Sierra Highway to 9th Street East and on 9th Street East from Q-11 to Q-12

Full closures in the Civic Center area. Detours will be in place. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays.

2. 17th Street East from Palmdale Boulevard to 500’ n/o Palmdale Boulevard

Lane closure on 17th Street East for water service installation. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays.

3. Division Street between Gaitano Drive and East Avenue O

Intermittent shoulder closure of Division Street between GaitanoDrive and East Avenue O for Landscape Assessment District tree trimming. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays.

4. Division Street between Gaitano Drive and Rancho Vista Boulevard

Intermittent lane closure of the #1 southbound lane on the west side of Division Street between Gaitano Drive and East Avenue O for Landscape Assessment District tree trimming. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays.

Intermittent parking lot, parking space and walking path closures for Domenic Massari sports field lighting pole base installation. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays.

Escorted transport of sports field lighting pole bases from the north Domenic Massari parking lot onto 55th Street East and reentering into the west Domenic Massari parking lot. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays.

10. Rancho Vista Boulevard between Country Club Drive and 15th Street West

Intermittent lane closure of the #3 westbound lane on the north side of Rancho Vista Boulevard between Country Club Drive and 15thStreet West for Landscape Assessment District tree trimming. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays.

11. 20th Street West between Avenue O-12 and Avenue P-8

Intermittent lane closure on the #2 southbound lane on the west side of 20th Street West between Avenue O-12 and Avenue P-8 for Landscape Assessment District tree trimming. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays.

12. Avenue R between Lemsford Avenue and 35th Street East

Intermittent lane closure of the #2 eastbound lane of Avenue R between Lemsford Avenue and 35th Street East for graffiti abatement. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays.

13. 20th Street West between Rancho Vista Boulevard and West Avenue P-8

Intermittent lane closure of the #1 southbound lane on the westside of 20th Street West between Rancho Vista Boulevard and West Avenue P-8 for Landscape Assessment District tree trimming. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays.

14. Avenue R between Sierra Highway and 25th Street East

Intermittent lane closures on both sides of Avenue R for power pole relocations by Southern California Edison. Work includes daytime digging in the road shoulder to prepare for pole replacements as well as nighttime electrical construction and power outages. Please slow down for the construction zone and be cautious for nighttime workers.

15. Rancho Vista Boulevard between Country Club Drive and 5th Street West

Eastbound lane closure on Rancho Vista Blvd. for SCE power pole replacement on Saturday between 7am-4pm. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays.

16. Avenue Q-12 between 10th Street East and 12th Street East

Sidewalk installation and repairs along Avenue Q-12. Please slow down for the construction zone and expect delays.

17. Challenger Way between Avenue M (Columbia Way) and Avenue L

Intermittent street and lane closures on Challenger Way for road work. Please slow down for the construction zone and expect delays.

18. 12th Street East and Avenue Q-10

Lane closures and flagged traffic for Palmdale Water District water line project.
