ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

FOR THE WEEK OF MAY 3 THROUGH MAY 9, 2021

GENERAL ROAD CONSTRUCTION:

1 – STREET CLOSURE 40th Street East between Avenue S-4 and Avenue S-8

40th Street East will be closed between Avenue S-4 and Avenue S-8 for approximately one week to widen 40th Street East and add a left turn lane at Noll Drive. Please follow detour signs and expect delays.

2 – Pearblossom Highway east of Rodeo Street

Intermittent shoulder closures on the north side of Pearblossom Highway east of Rodeo Street, for Landscape Assessment District tree removals.

3 – Division Street from Palmdale Boulevard to Avenue R-4

Intermittent street and lane closures on Division Street for street improvement construction. Please slow down for the construction zone and expect delays. 4 – State Route 138 and Avenue R-8

Intermittent lane closures with the traffic signal flashing red at times (4 way stop) for Caltrans signal modifications, pole replacement and conduit installation. Please slow down for the construction zone and expect delays.

5 – Palmdale Boulevard at UPRR Railroad Crossing

Intermittent lane closures for Caltrans repairs of the concrete near the railroad crossing, west of Sierra Highway. Please slow down for the construction zone and expect delays.

6 – Avenue T, east of Pearblossom Highway/Fort Tejon Road

Shoulder closures on Avenue T, east of Pearblossom Hwy/Fort Tejon Rd. Please slow down for the construction zone and expect delays.

7 – 35th Street East and Avenue R

Lane closures for water line improvements. Signal will be flashing red (4 way stop). Please slow down for the construction zone and expect delays.

8 – Avenue Q from 9th Street East to 20thStreet East

Intermittent shoulder closures along Avenue Q from 9th Street East to 20th Street East for utility work.

9 – Sierra Highway and Avenue R

Lane closure on Sierra Highway from 600 feet north of Avenue R to 2000 feet south of Avenue R for sewer construction. Please slow down for the construction zone and expect delays.

10 – Avenue O-8 and 11th Street West

Intermittent lane closure for utility and street improvements. Please slow down for the construction zone and expect delays.
