PALMDALE, CA – The City of Palmdale is thrilled to announce that international hit performer and platinum record holder, Flo Rida, will perform at the Palmdale Amphitheater on Saturday, July 20, as part of the City’s summer concert series. Break out your Apple Bottom Jeans and don’t miss this one-of-a-kind event!

Flo Rida, born in 1979, grew up in Miami’s Carol City neighborhood, where music helped him stay on a positive path. After local success with rap groups and working as a hype man, he signed with Atlantic Records in 2006 and later founded his own management company and record label. Flo Rida’s 2007 breakout single “Low” was number one for 10 weeks in the United States and broke the record for digital download sales at the time of its release. Beyond his musical career, Flo Rida established a nonprofit foundation called “Big Dreams For Kids” to inspire future leaders.

“This summer concert series and the 2 for $20 ticket sale is an excellent way to honor the Amphitheater’s 20-year anniversary,” said Mayor Austin Bishop. “We are beyond excited to have Flo Rida in Palmdale, and I hope all residents take advantage of this opportunity to connect with neighbors for music and fun.”

The concert will take place rain or shine at the Amphitheater, located at 2723 Rancho Vista Blvd. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the concert starts at 8 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive at least one hour early, as the seating is festival-style on the grass and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, early arrivals can take advantage of free parking and delicious on-site concessions, including beer and wine. Please note that pets are not allowed, except for service animals.

“It’s great to see our community come together for fantastic events like the summer concert series,” said Mayor Pro Tem Richard J. Loa. “Live music is a great way for our residents to come together and celebrate as a united community.”

Alternative transportation and rideshare are encouraged, as parking is limited. The City has organized convenient drop-off/pick-up options at the westbound bus turnout on Rancho Vista Blvd. Additional parking will be available at Highlands Christian Fellowship, 39625 20th St W, Palmdaleand Highland High School. A shuttle service will be available from these locations for patrons who may need assistance.
