City of Lancaster Earth Day Community Clean Up Continues

Lancaster, CA.- Join us for our Earth Day Community Clean-Up on Saturday, April 30! 🌎 Did you know that the first Earth Day was celebrated on April 22nd, 1970, and was the result of the emerging environmental movement? The idea for Earth Day came from Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson after observing the destruction of a 1969 oil spill near Santa Barbara, CA.

📆 Waste Management will be providing large dumpsters for community members to use while cleaning up your home, your neighbor’s home, or even an area around the City where you see trash. Waste drop-off hours will be from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on April 30. Trash can roll-offs will be placed in the parking stalls located at the City of Lancaster Maintenance Yard.

Here are a few other ideas that’ll help you celebrate our planet! #EarthDay
