PALMDALE, CA — Caltrans District 7 is inviting Antelope Valley residents to learn about upcoming safety upgrades along Pearblossom Highway during a virtual community workshop next month.

The workshop for the State Route 138 Multimodal Mobility Improvements Project – Segment 4 will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Microsoft Teams.

What’s Proposed for SR-138

Caltrans is proposing multimodal safety improvements along SR-138 between Avenue T in Palmdale and SR-18 in Llano. The Segment 4 improvements are part of the larger 14-segment SR-138 Corridor program.

Planned upgrades include:

ADA-compliant curb ramps to improve accessibility

New traffic signal and flashing beacons to increase safety at key intersections

Drainage improvements to address roadway flooding and erosion

The goal, Caltrans says, is to enhance safety and accessibility for drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, and all roadway users in the Littlerock and Llano communities.
