PALMDALE, CA — The City of Palmdale invites local artists of all ages to participate in the 11th Annual Generations Juried Art Exhibit, a vibrant display of artwork designed to showcase residents’ talent.
Applications will be accepted from May 12 through Aug. 1. Selected pieces will be exhibited from Aug. 22 through Oct. 2 at Legacy Commons and Palmdale Playhouse.
“The Generations Art Exhibit illustrates our City’s commitment to nurturing creativity at every stage of life,” said Mayor Richard J. Loa. “This showcase provides a unique opportunity for artists to display their talent, gain exposure and contribute to the cultural energy of our community. Over the years, this event has helped Palmdale create a legacy of artistic expression and build bonds across generations through art.”
Artists compete in four age categories: ages 12 and younger, 13-17, 18-54 and 55+. The top three artists in each category will win prizes and have their work featured in the prestigious 2026 Generations Calendar.
“This is an exciting time for our community’s artists to shine,” said Mayor Pro Tem Laura Bettencourt. “Our annual exhibition celebrates the creative spirit that makes Palmdale so special. I’m thrilled to see what incredible artists will emerge this year.”
The City welcomes various media, including painting, photography, metal work, graphic design and mixed media pieces. Artists must submit original work created within the last three years that has not been shown at a previous Generations Juried Art Exhibit.
