Bring Arendelle to Life: Open Auditions for Disney’s Frozen on the Palmdale Stage

PALMDALE, CA —The Palmdale Playhouse is hosting open auditions Nov. 21-23 for its upcoming production of “Disney’s ‘Frozen’ The Broadway Musical,” offering performers 8 and older the opportunity to bring beloved characters to life on the Palmdale stage. Produced by the City of Palmdale with creative talent from Palmdale Repertory Theatre.

Auditions will be held at the Palmdale Playhouse, located at 38334 10th St. East. All principal and ensemble roles are available.

Adult auditions take place Friday, Nov. 21, 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 22, 2-5 p.m. Youth auditions for performers ages 8-17 are Saturday, Nov. 22, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Interested performers are highly encouraged to secure an audition time slot by visiting www.PalmdalePlayhouse.com. Walk-up auditions for youth performers will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from 8-9 a.m.

“This production represents an exceptional opportunity for our community’s talent to shine in one of Broadway’s most magical spectacles,” said Mayor Pro Tem Laura Bettencourt. “We’re searching for performers who are ready to captivate audiences in iconic roles, from Elsa’s powerful transformation to Kristoff’s rugged charm.”

Featured roles include Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Hans, Olaf and the Duke of Weselton. Ensemble positions include townspeople, palace staff, guards, Hidden Folk, Oaken’s family and friends, and additional background roles that will help bring the Kingdom of Arendelle to life.

Those auditioning should prepare a 32-bar musical selection that showcases their vocal range. Songs from Disney’s Frozen The Broadway Musical are strongly encouraged. Performers must bring a karaoke-style backing track or sheet music for live accompaniment. A cappella auditions are not accepted.

The City of Palmdale’s production runs Friday, March 20 and 27 at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 21 and 28 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 22 and 29 at 1 p.m.
