Break in at Oso building by car

avdailynews.com

Lake Los Angeles – Damage to the Oso Market building is extensive with estimates at starting at $30,000 and up for repairs for one store after blatant brazenfaced thieves slammed their stolen car into the back of the Smoke Shop at approximately 0220 hours Saturday April 8. The thieves then used the car to slam into two other doors. With Oso’s back door, they ripped the doorknob off and walked into the store.

The Smoke Shop owned by Alex Abuata, whose store suffered the most damage, his roof and back side of his Smoke Shop is a total loss, caught ample video for the Sheriffs to work with before the power shorted out.

What was taken from the Smoke shop was smoking and vaping products and cash from the register. There is no other information available on any other items stolen. The thieves abandoned their stolen car and fled by foot.

Five radio cars came to assist the on-duty one-fourteen radio cars deputies already in the area. Mr. Abuata said everything happened within 20 minutes’ time.

Alex Abuata points to the roof collapse and the drain separated from the building.

Pictured are two doors of the mobile store and the closed ice cream store and Mr. Abuata from inside his store.
