Axel Trevino arrested in the Triple Homicide Investigation in Lake Los Angeles.

Palmdale, CA.- LASD Arrest Made in Triple Homicide Investigation, 215th St and East Avenue Q, Unincorp Lake Los Angeles.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are announcing the arrest of Axel Trevino, a 32-year-old resident of Unincorporated Lake Los Angeles, for the murder of Juan Arteaga-Diaz, Nazario Ramirez, and Beverly Cassese.
On August 17, 2025, at approximately 4:48 pm, Deputies from Lancaster Station responded to 215th Street East and East Avenue Q in the Unincorporated Area of Lake Los Angeles regarding a report of gunshots. During their response, the call was upgraded to multiple gunshot victims at the location. Upon arrival, deputies located three victims in two vehicles suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically all three victims died from their injuries on scene.
Investigators learned Victim’s Arteaga-Diaz and Ramirez were traveling in their vehicle, westbound on East Avenue Q from 215th Street East. Suspect Trevino, traveling eastbound in his vehicle, stopped adjacent to the victim’s vehicle. Suspect Trevino produced a handgun and shot both victims numerous times. Suspect Trevino then pulled alongside Victim Cassese, driving a second vehicle, and shot her numerous times. Suspect Trevino fled the scene in his vehicle after the assault.
After an extensive coordinated effort among detectives of the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau and Operation Safe Streets Bureau Suspect Trevino was identified and located. He was detained without incident on Tuesday evening, August 19, 2025. Suspect Trevino was ultimately arrested for the murder of the three victims.
The case is still being actively investigated and no further details about the case will be shared in order to maintain the integrity of the investigation.
The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Suspect Trevino is being held on a two-million-dollar warrant.
