Armed Man Killed In Lake Los Angeles.
Deputies with the LA County Sheriff's Department's Lancaster Station evacuated some residents in the area around 10 a.m. after a reports of a man with a gun.
The area between 166th Street E. to 170th Street E. from Stagecoach Avenue to Rawhide Avenue was closed as deputies searched the area.
Nearby schools were on Lockdown, Wilsona School District and Lake Los Angeles Elementary School.
Deputies fatally shot the man sometime after they responded, LASD officials confirmed just after 1 p.m. The man was struck by gunfire and pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
No deputies were injured in the shooting, which remains under investigation, officials said.
