Palmdale, CA.- Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning will host two more online community workshops as it develops a countywide Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
The plan is focused on providing fire protection and response strategies for unincorporated areas, which in the Antelope Valley include Acton, Green Valley, Lake Hughes, Elizabeth Lake, Juniper Hills, Pearblossom, Littlerock and Lake Los Angeles.
Residents are asked to sign up for the workshops based on their “forecast zones.”
The meeting for the “forecast zone” that includes the Santa Monica Mountains, the San Gabriel Mountains’ southern foothills, Puente Hills and Altadena will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18.
The meeting for the “forecast zone” that includes the unincorporated Antelope Valley, the “high country” including Acton, Juniper Hills and Wrightwood, and the Santa Clarita Valley will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23.
