ADOPTIVE PARENTS OF MISSING CALIFORNIA CITY BOYS CHARGED WITH MURDER.
The Trezell West and Jacqueline West have been charged with the second-degree murders of Orrin and Orson West according to Kern County Superior Court.
Kern County District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer said Wednesday in a press conference that the two Cal City brothers who had been reported missing by their adoptive parents in December 2020 had died three months earlier.
The bodies of Orrin, 4, and Orson West, 3, remain missing, Zimmer said during a morning news conference, while also announcing second-degree murder charges were filed Tuesday as the result of a grand jury indictment against the adoptive parents of the boys.
Each is charged with two counts of second degree murder, two counts of willful cruelty to children and a single misdemeanor count of falsely reporting an emergency in the deaths of Orrin, 4, and Orson West, 3.
A trial could begin May 23rd, 2022, they could face 30 years to life in prison if convicted.
