A Very Royal Day in Lake LA

Lake Los Angeles – The 2023 Lake Los Angeles Pageant ceremony took place at Twin Lakes Church on Saturday morning, April 1, 2023.

The theme was Salute to Service, Land of the free because of the brave.

Starting with the back row, crowned Miss Lake Los Angeles was Destiny Ortega. Destiny was also chosen as Miss Congeniality and Miss Photogenic.

Kammie Perry was crowned Miss Petite Lake Los Angeles. Next to Kammie is Amy Meeker, Young Miss Lake Los Angeles. Amy also won the Community Service Award.

In front, Sadie Perry was crowned Tiny Miss Lake Los Angeles. The Little Miss Lake Los Angeles crown went to Allyson Sterken.

The 2022 Queens partnered with the 2023 contestants in an original dance number to open the program. The second dance was to the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. There were drawings for lovely prizes.

The day started with personal interviews by the judges. Slideshows for the 2022 queens were shown followed by introductions. The formal wear walk was followed by impromptu speeches.

Director Ashleigh Gonsalvez announced before the Farewell Walks, “There will be no tears today.” It was a nice thought.

The traditional Farewell Walks were taken by Charlie, Riley and Kallie as they gave up their crowns after a very busy, productive and successful representative year as Lake Los Angeles’ Royal Court.

The coronations took place, while everyone wildly cheered the 2023 Lake Los Angeles Royal Court. What a wonderful journey lies before you, ladies.
