A shooting near a gas station after a dispute at the Courthouse.

Lancaster, CA.-On September 19, 2023, at 9:59 a.m., a dispute between families at the Antelope Valley Courthouse led to a shooting near a gas station on the intersection of Sierra Highway and Avenue M, in the city of Lancaster.

Those involved in the incident drove to the Antelope Valley Medical Center, where a large crowd formed.

Deputies responded to the hospital to provide security and investigate the earlier shooting. Persons within the group became unruly and began yelling at deputies. The yelling escalated to a physical assault on deputy personnel.

Deputy personnel and the persons involved suffered minor injuries during this incident. All involved parties were treated at Antelope Valley Medical Center and released.

The incident is still under investigation. There is no further information at this time.
