Palmdale, CA.- National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard CA released a flood watch valid from Thursday 5 a.m. until Friday 2 a.m.
The watch is for Cuyama Valley, San Luis Obispo County Interior Valleys, San Luis Obispo County Mountains, Santa Barbara County Interior Mountains, Malibu Coast, Western Santa Monica Mountains Recreational area, Eastern Santa Monica Mountains Recreational area, Southern Ventura County Mountains, Northern Ventura County Mountains, Interstate 5 Corridor, Western San Gabriel Mountains and Highway 14 Corridor, Eastern San Gabriel Mountains, Western Antelope Valley Foothills, Eastern Antelope Valley Foothills, Antelope Valley and Los Angeles.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch due to the potential for heavy rainfall that could cause flash flooding.

What to Expect:
Rainfall rates up to or exceeding ½ inch per hour Flooding is possible in rivers, creeks, streams and low-lying areas
Roads and underpasses may become dangerous or impassable
Safety Tips:
Never drive through flooded roadways
Stay alert for weather updates and emergency instructions
Be prepared to move to higher ground if flooding occurs
