2026 AV Family YMCA Turkey Trot & Gobble Wobble Fun Run
LANCASTER, Calif. — Thanksgiving traditions are about more than what's on the dinner table! The Antelope Valley Family YMCA invites families, runners, walkers, and community members to kick off the holiday with its annual Turkey Trot and Gobble Wobble Fun Run, bringing two days of fitness, family fun, and community spirit to Lancaster.
The festivities begin on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, with the Gobble Wobble Fun Run, a family-friendly event featuring a 1K course for younger participants. The celebration continues Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26, 2026, with the annual Turkey Trot, featuring 5K and 10K race options.
Both events will take place at the Antelope Valley Family YMCA, 43001 10th Street West in Lancaster.
More than a Thanksgiving workout, the Turkey Trot has become an Antelope Valley tradition centered on community, healthy living, and giving back. Proceeds benefit the Antelope Valley Family YMCA, supporting programs and opportunities that help local children, families, and individuals learn, grow, and thrive.
"The Turkey Trot is a great way to bring our community together, get moving, and start Thanksgiving with a purpose," said Brianna Herrera, Turkey Trot and Gobble Wobble Fun Run Co-Chair. "Every registration is an opportunity to support the YMCA and the programs that provide children and families throughout the Antelope Valley with safe spaces to learn, connect, and grow."
Whether participants are chasing a personal best, walking alongside friends and family, introducing their little ones to their first fun run, or simply looking for a way to get moving before Thanksgiving dinner, the Turkey Trot and Gobble Wobble offer something for everyone.
