2024 VIETNAM VETERAN WELCOME HOME CEREMONY

PALMDALE – The Antelope Valley Boots On The Ground Alliance held a “Welcome Home Ceremony for Vietnam Veterans” (VV’s) who live in the Antelope Valley and surrounding areas.

This event creates continued generational awareness of the sacrifices of service of those who served in the Vietnam War.

The ceremony took place at Poncitlán Square in Palmdale.


During the today's ceremony Dean Brown was recognized for AVBOGA’s 2024 Vietnam Veteran of the year.

“This event has been a vision of mine to be able to recognize and celebrate our Vietnam Veterans in the way the deserve. I am excited and anticipating our 2024 event to be the biggest turnout yet. “said Alejandro Castillo, founder of the Antelope Valley Boots On The Ground Alliance.

At the close of the program, and as a show of appreciation for their service, Vietnam Veteran’s in attendance will receive a commemorative lapel pin specifically created for this Welcome Home Ceremony event. Preceding the event will be an exciting convoy in which the community can take part in. This convoy was coordinated for the 3rd year in a row by David Doc Manzo of 1776 Patriots of America MC. Food catered by SmokinXvibesBarbecue.
