2023 Lake Los Angeles Pageant Time

avdailynews.com

Lake Los Angeles - The 2022 Lake Los Angeles Community Queens’ year has flown by and it is time to prepare for the 2023 pageant.

The pageant is for all girls between the ages of 4 years and 20 years. The Queens of the LLA Royal Court are the community’s good will ambassadors to the Antelope Valley and beyond. Being a community queen is an opportunity for personal growth, meeting other young women and forming life-long friendships.

The young ladies involved in being a community queen for Lake Los Angeles make friends for life with their own court and the courts of other communities around the Antelope Valley. Their year as community queens is a year of community service which stands large and tall on their resumes. They serve their community at home and attend functions throughout the Valley in the name of Lake Los Angeles.

Community service and community queens go together. Community service projects benefit everyone. It unites young people from diverse backgrounds to work toward a common goal thus building camaraderie, teamwork skills and attitudes at an early age. Through their year of volunteering, the Queens develop an understanding of community needs which naturally helps foster empathy and awareness.

The whole concept of Community Pageants is building a whole new generation of altruistically minded adults.

Orientation is on Saturday, February 4 starting at 11:00am at Twin Lakes Community Church located at 17213 Lake Los Angeles Ave.
