Legacy Commons to Host Free Introduction to Medicare Virtual Training

PALMDALE – The City of Palmdale’s Legacy Commons for Active Seniors will host a free “Introduction to Medicare” virtual Zoom presentation on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020, from 11 am to 12 noon.

Registration is required and available at https://bit.ly/MedicareOverview0923. A representative from the Center for Health Care Rights (CHCR) will discuss Medicare eligibility, benefits, costs, coverage options, and Medicare assistance programs.

“This virtual workshop will provide a forum for questions and answers about Medicare,” said Palmdale’s Recreation Coordinator Laura Rice. “Knowing your options is your first step to getting the health coverage you need."

CHCR is a non-profit organization that provides free information and help with Medicare. CHCR is funded primarily by the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program HICAP Grant, a program of the Los Angeles City Department of Aging and the Los Angeles County Area Agency on Aging.
