LASD Homicide Investigates Found Human Skeletal Remains In Lake LA

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Homicide Bureau detectives are investigating found human skeletal remains that were discovered on Monday, July 13, 2020, near the area of 230th East & East Ave P-3, Lake Los Angeles. The remains were discovered by a hiker at approximately 6:35 in the evening. Due to darkness, the scene was secured by Lancaster Sheriff’s Station Deputies. This morning, Tuesday, July 14, 2020, LASD Homicide detectives along with investigators from the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner responded to the scene. LASD Homicide investigators searched the scene and surrounding area, and discovered the human remains of an additional victim. The identity and cause of death of both victims is unknown at this time and will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
