A deputy with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department shot an adult male, identified as a suspect, Friday in Lancaster.
The man was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to a Deputy involved shooting in Lancaster. The incident occurred on Friday, May 29, 2020, at approximately 7:48 p.m., 1700 Blk West Avenue K, Lancaster. The suspect was transported to a local hospital.

Every aspect of the shooting is reviewed by the Sheriff's Executive Force Review Committee. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Justice System Integrity Division, conducts a legal analysis to determine whether any criminal charges will be filed and if the shooting was legally justified.
