L.A. Care Hosts Drive-Thru Food Pantry in Palmdale

L.A. Care Health Plan, the nation’s largest publicly operated health plan, is proud to collaborate with the non-profit Antelope Valley Partners for Health (AVPH) in hosting a Drive-Thru Food Pantry at its Family Resource Center in Palmdale. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many families have found themselves unemployed and struggling to make ends meet. They should not have to decide whether to pay rent or buy nutritious food for their families.

L.A. Care and AVPH do not want anyone to go hungry. They are hoping to help as many as 300 Antelope Valley households with this drive-through food giveaway.

The Drive-Thru Food Pantry is:

Friday, May 1

10 am to 1 pm

Palmdale Family Resource Center

2072 East Palmdale Boulevard

AVPH and L.A. Care staff will practice all the proper social distancing and safety precautions while distributing bags of groceries. Patrons are being ask to stay in their cars, and the staff, wearing masks and gloves, will pass the bags through the window.

L.A. Care wants regular resource center visitors to know we are still there to help keep them healthy. We will get through the COVID-19 pandemic together.
