We at LACOE have been committed to helping our districts successfully manage the COVID-19 crisis.

I'm so proud of our team for mobilizing to offer guidance, technical assistance and resources in all aspects of school operations.

It is now time to look ahead to the reopening of schools in the fall, and I want you to know LACOE will continue to be there for our education community. We are organizing a task force of LACOE and district representatives focused on school reopening with social distancing in mind. Our aim is to quickly develop a report and framework of suggested options for districts to consider.

I look forward to keeping you informed as we develop guidelines that can be tailored to the needs of our county's diverse communities. Working together, we will surely rise to the challenge.
