R. Rex Parris secured the re-election for Mayor, which will be his fifth term in office

Today, the City of Lancaster held its 2020 municipal election. The election was an all-mail ballot in which the Mayor’s seat and two Council seats were open for the full-term of three years eleven months.

“I am honored to be able to serve the people of my hometown,” said Mayor R. Rex Parris. “Over the last 12 years, we have made strides in our community. We are one of the most innovative cities in the world when it comes to clean energy and have improved the quality of life for our residents. I cannot wait to continue building a City that is known for its economic and environmental sustainability, commitment to design excellence and relentless modernization.”

Parris’s opponents included Aubray McPherson, David Paul, Leslie L. Underwood, and Kurtis K. Wilson.
