A coronavirus drive-up testing station starting this friday at the AV Mall.

A coronavirus drive-up testing station is scheduled to open at 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday on the grounds of the Antelope Valley Mall in partnership between Los Angeles County and the City of Palmdale.

The Lancaster testing station operated by High Desert Medical Group in partnership with Los Angeles County and the City of Lancaster opened Wednesday.

The testing is being done by advance appointment only and only for people with COVID 19 symptoms who meet other criteria. People can register for either test site at https://corona-virus.la/.

Individuals eligible for testing at this time include:

•Those with symptoms who are 65 and older

•Those with symptoms who have underlying chronic health conditions

•Those who are subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine period due to a confirmed COVID-19 exposure (with more than seven days of quarantine remaining)

The Centers for Disease Controls say the most common symptoms of COVID 19 are fever, cough and difficulty breathing.
