Kern County Public Health Department has announced six new COVID-19 cases, bringing a total of 47 people who have tested positive for Coronavirus in Kern County as of 03/28/2020 10 am reporting. .

  • 7 in the Valley region +1

  • 28 in Bakersfield West +2

  • 8 in Bakersfield East +2

  • 3 in Desert +1

  • 0 in Mountain

  • 1 is a non-resident

Kern County Public Health Services continues to recommend the following protective measures:

  • Wash hands with soap and water often

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. Follow label instructions for proper disinfecting.

  • Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth.

  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your elbow.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Stay away from work, school or other people if you become ill.
