Governor Mandates All Resorts, Restaurants, and Bars in Nevada Must Close for 30 Days to Prevent the

Gov. Steve Sisolak imposed a mandatory closure of non-essential businesses including casinos, resorts, restaurants, and bars starting at noon on March 18 in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. Casinos, hotels, and motels must remain closed for a minimum of 30 days.

In addition, Governor Sisolak said that the only businesses that should remain open are those that are essential for the community, such as healthcare providers and businesses that provide food.

Only essential services should remain open, such as fire, police, transit and healthcare services, in addition to businesses that provide food, shelter or social services for disadvantaged populations. Nonessential services such as beauty shops, barbershops, nail, tanning, waxing salons should close until further notice. Only essential businesses should remain open, such as pharmacies, grocery stores, drug and convenience stores, banks and financial institutions, hardware stores, and gas stations. All gatherings should be postponed or canceled. This is not the time for sleepovers, play dates, concerts, theater outings or athletic events.
