The Sheriff’s Station Community Advisory Committee (CAC) was established in 2011 to promote a better understanding between the public and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department (LASD). It was created to be a bridge to building trust and promoting dialogue between local law enforcement and the community. 

The CAC functions to bring concerns and issues from the community to the Sheriff’s Department and to address those concerns, establishing a partnership with the local community in the process. 

Additionally, the Sheriff’s Department benefits from this two-way dialogue by gaining a greater understanding of the issues of concern in the communities they serve. 

The CAC is composed of community members who volunteer their time to act as representatives of various constituencies.   See the flyer for additional information.
