Former L.A. County Sheriff Lee Baca ordered to turn himself in by February 5th, 2020.

Former L.A County Sheriff Lee Baca was ordered to turn himself in no later than Feb. 5th, 2020 to begin serving a three year federal prison sentence for obstruction of justice and lying to the FBI. 

U.S. District Judge Percy Anderson issued an order directing Baca to surrender to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons on or before the 21st day after the issuance of the mandate filed by the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals this afternoon. As the mandate was issued on Jan. 15, Baca must begin serving his sentence by Feb. 5th,2020.
