Veterans Day Holiday Closures for City of Palmdale

PALMDALE – City of Palmdale administrative and business offices, the Palmdale Playhouse, South Antelope Valley Emergency Services (SAVES), Legacy Commons for Active Seniors, Chimbole Cultural Center and the Palmdale City Library will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day.  

Administrative and business offices will reopen Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 am. The Palmdale City Library will reopen on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 10 am. SAVES will reopen on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 9 am. Legacy Commons will reopen on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 8 am. The public is invited to attend a Veterans Day Ceremony on Monday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Palmdale Amphitheater, 2723 Rancho Vista Blvd. The Ceremony will include patriotic performances by Rat Pack Ricky and The Air National Guard Band of the West Brass Quintet. The Guest Speaker will be Brig. Gen. E. John Teichert, Commander, 412th Test Wing, Edwards Air Force Base. Every veteran in attendance will receive an appreciation pin and there will be a special 50th Commemorative Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin Presentation. Residents may register for Recreation and Culture department programs at www.PlayPalmdale.com, and purchase tickets from the Palmdale Playhouse at www.PalmdalePlayhouse.com 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Parking and administrative citations may be paid online at www.CityofPalmdale.org, 24 hours 7 days a week. The Library’s online services will also be available at www.cityofpalmdale.org/library. Business licenses may be paid online 24 hours a day, seven days a week by visiting https://blicense.cityofpalmdale.org/webrenewals/ . In case of an emergency, residents may call 661/267-5338 to report issues such as sewer overflows, roadway/right of way hazards including downed tree limbs, downed signs and potholes, or broken sprinkler lines in City parks and landscaped areas.
