Santa Clarita Man Pleads to Taking Upskirt Photos

A Santa Clarita man has pleaded no contest to taking photos up the skirts of women, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced today. Sebastian Raymundo Barrales, 21, entered the plea yesterday to one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct by secretly photographing the undergarments of another.

Deputy District Attorney Tonya Barseghian said Barrales was immediately sentenced to 47 days in jail and three years of summary probation. He also was ordered to attend and complete no less than 12 classes in a court certified sexual impulse control program and stay away from The Master’s University in Santa Clarita.

The defendant’s cell phone also was destroyed and photos deleted from the cloud, the prosecutor said.

Barrales, who was a student and worked for the university, took the surreptitious photos between April and June. At least one victim also was a student.
