Kern County Sheriff's  Office makes several arrests for drugs in Kern Valley area

On October 9, 2019, deputies assigned to the Kern Valley Substation conducted a traffic stop for vehicle violations. 44-year-old Burton Brand was found to be driving on a suspended license, and in possession of 24 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Brand was arrested and booked into the Central Receiving Facility for vehicle code violations and possession of narcotics. A passenger, 29-year-old James Peale, was arrested and booked for possession of burglary tools and drug paraphernalia. On October 10, 2019, deputies from the Kern Valley Substation went to the 300 block of Park Way in Bodfish to serve an outstanding felony warrant out of Lassen County. 37-year-old Stacy Garcia was located and arrested on the warrant. Garcia was also found to be possession of 75.9 grams of heroin. She was also arrested on the drug possession charges. A second subject was arrested, 23-year-old Josh Pearman, for possession of drug paraphernalia.
