Public Works will be performing pavement preservation work on Palmdale Boulevard between 140th Street East and 170th Street East to improve the poor condition of the roadway and extend the life of the pavement.
The work will consist of milling out 3” of the existing Asphalt Pavement, paving back 3” of Asphalt Concrete (AC), and overlaying 1 ½” Asphalt Rubberized Hot Mix (ARHM).
This project is tentatively scheduled to commence October 15, 2019, and be completed by December 15, 2019. The road is expected to be closed during construction, and signs will be installed to alert commuters with alternate routes. The work will be performed by a Los Angeles County contractor and supervised by Public Works inspectors.
