Saddle Ridge Fire In Sylmar Causes Closure Of 210 Freeway

Classified As “Major Emergency”
The blaze prompted a full closure of the 210 Freeway near the I-5 Freeway, with southbound traffic on the 5 Freeway backed up all the way to the 5-14 interchange, according to officials. Evacuations are also underway in the nearby neighborhoods, according to LAFD officials.

West of Balboa, North of Sesnon with Tampa as the current western border EVACUATION CENTERS: People and small pets: Sylmar Recreation Center (13109 Borden Ave) Large Animals: Hansen Dam ACREAGE: 60+ with winds in excess of 60MPH STRUCTURES DESTROYED BY FIRE: There has been at least one commercial building destroyed
