Legacy Commons to Host AVTA Travel Training

PALMDALE – The City of Palmdale’s Legacy Commons for Active Seniors, located at 930 East Avenue Q-9 in Palmdale, will host an Antelope Valley Transit Authority (AVTA) travel training session on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 12:30 pm. Admission is free. Representatives from the AVTA will be on hand to offer personalized training with transit professionals, on site TAP car and Dial-a-Ride registration, wheelchair access demonstration, rider materials, giveaways and an escorted free ride on an AVTA bus. “This is a great opportunity for seniors to become more familiar with the services AVTA offers and how it can be beneficial for them,” said Palmdale Recreation Coordinator Laura Rice.
