Lancaster Station Detectives are on the lookout for the driver involved in a hit and run.
Lancaster Station Detectives are seeking the public's help in locating and/or identifying the person(s) responsible for causing serious great bodily injury to a Lancaster resident.
On the evening of Wednesday 9-18-19 at approximately 8:50pm, Mr. Narcy Wells MA/34 was bicycling northbound on 17th Street East and Lancaster Boulevard in the company of his mother who uses a motorized wheel chair.
Witness accounts of the incident state the victim’s mother was just feet away from her son, who was bicycling behind her in the crosswalk. The witness states an unidentified white newer four door sedan (possibly Honda Accord) was traveling westbound on Lancaster Boulevard approaching 17th Street East at a high rate of speed when the car struck the victim. The driver of the white vehicle never stopped to render aid or made any attempt to help the victim.
There is video surveillance in the area which Detectives are currently reviewing. The vehicle pictured is NOT the actual vehicle, but a similar vehicle to the one witnessed at the time the victim was truck and seriously injured. The vehicle should have front end damage to the hood and/or windshield.
Any help from the public would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Detective Gil Borruel at (661) 940-3813 with any information.
