Skeletal remains found in shallow grave in Lancaster

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau is continuing to investigate found human skeletal remains. The remains were discovered Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at approximately 3:08 p.m., near 20th Street West and Avenue F, Lancaster.   

Detectives learned that deputies from Lancaster Station responded to a call of found skeletal remains. When arrived they found skeletal remains in a shallow grave in the middle of the desert. The race, sex, age and identity of the victim is unknown. The identity and cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
