Lancaster Mother Charged With Murdering Baby Son.

A woman was charged today with killing her 7-month-old son in Lancaster last November, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced. Anaiyah Alise Perry (4/22/98) was charged in case MA077209 with one count each of murder and assault on a child causing death. 

She is scheduled to be arraigned today in Department A01 of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Antelope Valley Branch.

Deputy District Attorney Jon Hatami of the Complex Child Abuse Section, Family Violence Division, is prosecuting the case.

On Nov. 6, 2018, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call in the 44000 block of Moccasin Place. Perry’s son, Royal M., had head and neck injuries. He was airlifted to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles where he died the next day.

If convicted as charged, Perry faces a possible maximum sentence of life in prison.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
